We were pleased to welcome UCoach to Basset Down last weekend when they delivered Wiltshire’s first ever padel coaching course. The LTA’s Padel Activator’s Course is positioned as an entry level award and provides candidates with an introduction to padel coaching.

The one day course had the maximum 12 attendees and included our very Miguel Caramalho as well as Lisa Phillips from our Garon Park centre in Southend. Both will now move on to the LTA’s L2 Instuctors Course.

The course was delivered by Chris Salisbury who, as well as being an excellent padel tutor, recently represented GB in the World Padel Championships in Qatar and also partnered Sandy Farquharson in winning the recent Grade 2 National Padel Competition at the NTC.

UCoach are one of the biggest providers of tennis and padel training courses across the UK and are the recognised Coach Development Centre (CDC) for Wiltshire. They are responsible for delivering coaching qualifications and the continued professional development (CPD) to our entire rackets community.
