Successful Launch Day Event

We held a successful Launch Day Event on Saturday 2nd October at Basset Down. The day included a wide variety of sessions to showcase the benefits that padel can bring to a community. It opened with an invitational session for juniors who had showed commitment and aptitude to padel during our in-school padel lessons this term. Following on was a session organised in collaboration with Swindon Down’s Syndrome Group. Both sessions were thoroughly enjoyed by all who took part.
An exhibition match then took place with some of the best players in the UK showing us their superb racket skills and pace around (and outside !) the court. An invitational pro-am followed, concluding with refreshments in the Basset Down Golf Clubhouse; our thanks to all those who took part; despite continuous heavy rain throughout the day, play was unaffected and the players and large crowd were sheltered and enjoyed a great day out.
