We’ve had a busy week here at Basset Down!

Swindon Town Community Foundation visited us twice last week filling 2 courts with retired local residents; some had played Padel before but a majority of them were new to the sport.

At the weekend we collaborated with Active Away where Jack Hazelwood (our newest senior coaching appointment) ran a 4-hour Padel clinic for the guests, giving them a crash course on the fundamentals of Padel with the aim of making people feel more confident and competent on the Padel court.

Nick White, who leads the BattleBootCamp in Swindon, hired out the entire centre for 4 hours on Saturday evening for a Padel tournament for his friends and customers, half of which were new to the sport.  Ricardo, one of our amazing coaches, delivered an ‘Intro to Padel’ session for the beginners at the start of the event before running a fun tournament for all of Nick’s guests.  We were pleased to hear that they thoroughly enjoyed themselves and we hope to see them again very soon!
