Everything You Need to Know About Padel4all Bedford
The countdown is on!
We’re currently aiming to bring Padel4all Bedford to the local community in November. Construction can be unpredictable by nature, so we’ll be sharing regular progress updates in our WhatsApp Community as we get closer. If anything changes and it looks like we won’t meet our November goal, we’ll let you know.
Whether you’ve never picked up a racquet before or you’re an experienced tournament player, our aim is simple: to create a welcoming, inclusive and vibrant community where everyone can enjoy padel.
If you’ve been wondering what to expect from the new centre, here’s everything you need to know.
Why Bedford?
When Padel4all began looking for its next location, we weren’t just searching for somewhere to build courts—we were looking for a community that shared our values.
Bedford stood out immediately.
With its strong sporting culture, welcoming community and passion for supporting local initiatives, we knew it was the perfect place to create more than just a padel centre. After meeting Bedford Greenacre Independent School Principal Ian Daniel and learning about his vision to create more than just buildings—a campus where sport, wellbeing and community can thrive—it felt like a natural partnership. Our aim is to build a vibrant community where people of all ages and abilities can get active, make new friends and enjoy sport together.
We can’t wait to open the doors this autumn and become part of Bedford’s sporting future.
A Centre for Everyone
One of the things that makes padel so special is that it’s a sport for everyone.
At Padel4all Bedford, you’ll be just as welcome if you’re looking for a new hobby as you would be if you’re chasing tournament success.
Our centre has been designed for:
- Complete beginners
- Juniors
- Families
- Social players
- Competitive players
- Experienced tournament players
- Anyone looking to stay active and meet new people
Whatever your reason for picking up a racquet, there will be activities, coaching and events designed to help you enjoy the game.
Be One of Bedford’s Founding Members
From the very beginning, we’ve wanted to reward the people who believe in the vision for Padel4all Bedford before the doors even open.
That’s why we’ll be releasing a strictly limited number of Founder’s Memberships for general sale on Sunday 4th October at 11am – NOW SOLD OUT. The purchase link will be released exclusively in our WhatsApp Community.
Founder’s Membership will be available for one annual payment of just £120 for the first 12 months — discounted from our standard PadelPlus Membership of £180 per year or £18 per month.
This is your opportunity to become one of the very first members of Bedford’s newest sporting community and enjoy exclusive benefits throughout your first year.
Founding Members will receive:
- Exclusive opening Founders Friday and Members Weekend activities
- Priority court booking with a 14-day booking window (usually 7 days for non-members)
- Discounted court bookings (25-30%)
- Discounted coaching sessions and activities
- Exclusive Founder’s pricing for the first 12 months
- The opportunity to help shape the culture and community from day one
Whether you’re planning to play socially every week, improve your game through coaching or simply want to secure the best value membership available, the Founder’s Membership has been designed for our most enthusiastic early supporters.
Once these memberships have sold out, they won’t be offered again in the same format.
If you’re excited about joining Bedford’s newest sporting community, this will be the best opportunity to get involved from the very start.
Please note:
Membership benefits are individual to each player. Each adult simply needs their own membership, registered to their own email address, to enjoy member rates on their share of court bookings and on sessions. When you book a court, just add the players joining you and the booking price will automatically reflect the players on the booking — whether they’re members, non-members or juniors.
Junior players aged 16 and under do not need a membership or their own account. When booking courts, parents can select each player attending — including themselves, their junior, other juniors or other adults. Juniors enjoy their share of the court, as well as sessions, at the same discounted rate as an adult member. Juniors must be accompanied by an adult.
New to Padel? We’ll Help You Get Started
If you’ve never played before, don’t worry—everyone starts somewhere.
Your journey begins with one of our Beginner Introduction Sessions, where our coaching team will teach you everything you need to know, including:
- How to hold the racquet
- The basic rules and scoring
- Serving
- Forehands and backhands
- Court positioning
- Match play
By the end of the session, one of our coaches will assess your ability and assign you a playing level. From there, they’ll recommend the best next steps for your development and add you to your dedicated WhatsApp group, where you can connect with other players at a similar level and start arranging games.
Already Played Before?
If you’re already familiar with padel, simply speak to one of our coaching team.
Whether you’ve played at another club, played abroad or recently moved to Bedford, we’ll assess and confirm your level through either:
- A coached match play session
- A group coaching session
From there, you’ll be added to your dedicated WhatsApp group, where you can connect with other players at your level, and you’ll be able to access sessions and activities suited to your playing standard.
Players with experience in tennis, squash, racketball or badminton often find many of their existing skills transfer naturally to padel, and our coaches will help recommend the most appropriate starting point.
Finding Players at Your Level
One of the biggest questions players ask is:
“How do I find people to play with?”
We’ve made that easy.
Once you’ve been levelled by one of our coaches, you’ll be invited into dedicated WhatsApp groups for your playing standard, helping you arrange games with players of a similar ability.
You’ll also have plenty of opportunities to meet new people through:
- Mix-in sessions
- Coached Match Play
- Social Sessions
- Ladies Sessions
- Over-50s Sessions
- Tournaments
Whether you’re playing once a month or several times a week, there’s always an opportunity to get involved.
Open Matches
A hot topic: Open Matches feature.
Padel4all uses its own booking platform and, while Open Matches isn’t currently available, we can confirm that it’s already in development.
In the meantime, we’ve found that once players have been levelled and added to their dedicated WhatsApp playing group, it’s a really effective way to organise games, meet new people and find players at a similar standard. In many ways, it’s become one of the best parts of the community.
Opening This Autumn
Construction is progressing brilliantly, and we’re getting closer to a November opening every week.
An official opening date will be announced once construction is complete and everything is ready.
Members of the Bedford WhatsApp Community will be the first to hear when bookings open and the launch date is confirmed.
Opening Hours & Peak / Off-Peak Times
Padel4all Bedford will be open 7:00am–10:00pm, seven days a week.
Off-peak: Monday–Friday, 7:00am–4:00pm
Peak: Monday–Friday, 4:00pm–10:00pm, and all day Saturday and Sunday.
Four Premium Covered Courts
Padel4all Bedford will feature four premium covered padel courts.
But what does “covered” actually mean?
Unlike outdoor courts, covered courts allow you to enjoy padel throughout the year. Whether it’s raining, windy or even snowing outside, the courts remain protected from the weather, helping to minimise interruptions and making the game more enjoyable whatever the season.
And the comfort doesn’t stop when you leave the court. Our social areas will feature windows looking out across the beautiful Bedford views, while outdoor heaters will help keep spectators extra cosy during the colder months.
Located at Bedford Greenacre Independent School
The new centre will be located adjacent to the Bedford Greenacre Independent School campus accessed via Manton Lane.
Although based on the school site, Padel4all Bedford will operate as its own dedicated facility, complete with its own entrance and 16 dedicated parking spaces.
The students will use the courts before school and during parts of the afternoon, three days a week during term time, with the centre remaining open to the public outside of these sessions.
Open to the Whole Community
Yes—Padel4all Bedford is a public facility.
Everyone is welcome to book courts, coaching, activities and events, while Bedford Greenacre Independent School will also benefit from access for pupils during the school day.
Our goal is to create a community hub where local people can play, socialise and stay active.
Daytime Court Availability
There will be plenty of opportunities to play throughout the day!
As part of our partnership with Bedford Greenacre Independent School, pupils will use the courts during the school day for activities such as PE lessons and other school sessions. We’re currently working closely with the school to finalise how these sessions will be scheduled.
Importantly, there will still be plenty of daytime court availability for the wider community, whether you’re planning an off-peak game, a coaching session or even a lunchtime hit with friends.
More Than Just Courts
We believe great sports centres should also be great places to spend time.
That’s why Padel4all Bedford has been designed with community at its heart.
Alongside the courts you’ll find:
- Comfortable social spaces
- Hot and cold drinks
- Light bites and hot food
- A small selection of alcoholic beverages for adults after play
Whether you’re playing or simply watching friends on court, there’ll be plenty of reasons to stay a little longer.
Racquets, Balls and Equipment
Don’t own any equipment?
No problem.
Our on-site padel store will stock everything you need.
You’ll be able to:
- Hire racquets for £2.50
- Hire racquets free for under-16s
- Purchase balls
- Buy grips and accessories
- Browse a range of racquets
Better still, equipment is included with all coaching sessions, making it easy to try the sport before buying your own gear.
