The Easter Holiday programme came to an end on Friday with our first ever junior competition; The Dare Doubles.

The junior coaching programme, which is aligned to the school calendar, has now been running for two whole terms so the coaching team wanted the boys and girls to put their new skills to the test in a competition matchplay format.

After some drills practice the 15 children were allocated a graded group, named after a World Padel Tour venue. Play was scheduled in a round robin format so all players within the group had the opportunity to play with a different partner which resulted in an overall individual winner of each group.

Ben Clapham was victorious in Vigo, Xavier Taylor came out top in a very competitive Alicante group and Tommy Pearson finished 1st in Lisbon. A special ACE Award for Attitude, Commitment and Enthusiasm was presented Tom Hawkins.

Congratulations to everyone who took part. The Summer Term programme starts again this week and we plan to hold another junior event before the summer recess which will also provide an opportunity for parents to team up with their child so watch out for that mums and dads.
