Basset Down Confirmed as First Padel4all Centre

7 June 2021

Basset Down, on the edge of Swindon, was confirmed as the first Padel4all venue when Wiltshire Council recently approved plans for the 3-court padel centre.

Set within the beautiful backdrop of the North Wessex Downs (AONB) the venue offers sweeping views across Wiltshire’s ancient chalk downs. The idyllic scenery is matched closely by the fantastic facilities on offer at the family run site. The venue currently serving as a popular golf complex is set to shortly open a stunning new Clubhouse facility which will serve as one of the top hospitality venues across the local area. Basset Down’s GM Rosie Nutland said;

“We are really pleased that Padel Tennis will soon be part of our offering here at Basset Down Complex. The centre will be a welcome addition to our clubhouse extension and new facilities, and we look forward to working closely with their team in making Basset Down a first-class venue for the local and wider community.”

Our first centre is also Wiltshire’s first with the new Padel4all centre set to offer the County’s first ever padel courts. Operations Director Dax Mellor commented;

“Being local to the area I am personally delighted to be opening our first Padel4all courts at Basset Down. It’s the perfect location for serving Wiltshire’s wonderful rackets community and, with its proximity to the M4, I expect will also meet a regional demand to play this highly entertaining sport. The development plans at Basset Down are impressive and we look forward to playing our part in that with the inclusion of padel”

Progress of the development will be shared on our website and social media channels. If you haven’t already done so, then also sign up to our newsletter for all the latest Padel4all updates.
