Padel is a Big Hit with Schools
17 July 2021
The Padel4all Schools programme was unveiled to schools during the final term of the school year and padel tennis has proven to be a big hit with the children and teachers.
Three primary schools and one secondary school were chosen to receive several in-school padel taster sessions as part of their summer sports schedule.
The primary school programme saw children learn and progress basic racket and movement skills through a variety of fun padel challenges including; the importance of being ready, sending and receiving skills, judging flight and arrival distances and target games.
The secondary school sessions were delivered to Key Stage 3 pupils as part of their extra-curricular enrichment programme. The programme delivered the padel basics to over 100 children during a three week period. Holly Alabidi, Head of Physical Education at Great Western Academy, said;
“GWA have loved having Padel4all in during the Summer Term to run a series of sessions through our student enrichment programme. Padel Tennis has been a huge success and it’s fantastic to offer our pupils a new and exciting sport which is great fun to play. The Autumn follow-on sessions are already fully subscribed such has been its popularity and we look forward to welcoming the Padel4all team back in September”
We are currently inviting schools in the Swindon and Southend area to register their interest in the Padel4all Schools programme for the next academic year. We offer a number of different delivery options to suit each school. If you are connected with a school and would like to receive further details, then send an email to play@padel4all.com
